Early October marks the start of the most traditional and competitive Adult Soccer Amateur league in metro Atlanta. Teams have worked hard to get ready for a long and grueling season which promises to offer lots of ups and downs. VaHi ATLetic has prepared the season well with several pre-season scrimmages.
Team management has finalized the initial roster for the season. The backbone of the team remains constant, with players that have been with the team for a long time, in some cases since 2004. The duo combined for 6 league clean sheets last season and bring stability and confidence on their position, a strong foundation for ATLetic’s season.
Central defenders Milos Kvasay, Jacob Schutz and Florentino Aguilar also return and provide the team with the right mix of height, strength, pace and confidence on the ball to shut down teams and score goals on set pieces. Andy Mungan, Demian Perelmuter, Matt Glick and Danny Battaglia will continue playing as fullbacks bringing speed and control in a key position for the team defensive and offensives phases of the game.
